Day 19 - Butch or Femme?
I’m going to assume this is a question of preference, in which case my answer is, Oh godddd femme.
I love femmes. There’s something so wonderful about a woman who looks like a woman. Nothing against butch women; I simply don’t find them appealing. Femme/femme relationships also always make me so happy.

This has been an eventful year for the LGBT community. We rejoiced over political victories, mourned the losses of individuals young and old, and saw the rise of activism in more ways than ever.
Here’s a look at some of the most important things that happened this year, and how they’ll affect the…

Day 18 - Something about the LGBTQ community you...
I’m mostly perplexed over how we keep adding letters to the name. First it was LGB. Then it was LGBT. Now it’s LGBTQ? I must’ve missed the vote when Q got added in there. How do we decide this stuff? I find it silly. Yes, I understand that we’re trying to be inclusive, but once you begin changing the names and adding all the possible letters and combinations, all...

“When you love someone, you never let them go.”
Excuse me, what? That’s ridiculous. Everybody’s gotta let go sometime. People are going to leave you. That’s pretty much a fact. You’re going to cling to someone forever and ever because…why? Because you think it shows some kind of sweet devotion to hopelessly tie yourself to someone, to follow them like a...

Genuinely funny things Ann Coulter says, 2:
“Soon editorials across the nation were demanding answers. Even Jimmy Carter called for a “blue-ribbon” commission to investigate, saying, “It’s almost nauseating to think that this could be true” - which is ironic, because that was my reaction, word for word, upon learning that Jimmy Carter had been elected president.”

Day 17 - Your first experience with an LGBT...
I went to Pride for the first time ever…this year.
You know, it wasn’t really the most amazing thing ever. I didn’t mind it and I guess I’d do it again with friends, but it wasn’t what I expected. I think the bad weather had something to do with the rather low turnout. I watched the parade, took some pictures, had a few drinks, but otherwise just chilled. I think I...

Genuinely funny things Ann Coulter says:
Also, the charge of using the N-word fifteen times was ridiculous on its face. Have you ever stood in front of someone calling them the N-word fifteen times? Believe me, it’s not easy. After a while they start finishing the word for you, and the next thing you know they’re rolling their fingers and doing that “yada yada N-word yada” thing. It’s a nightmare.

Day 16 - A picture from your first LGBT...
Oh my, this is awkward. I’d consider posting a picture, but 1) I feel like that’s violating some sort of privacy and 2) if I never think of her again I’d be just fine. We’re not on speaking terms anymore.
It’s a little sad how relationships go like that, huh? We started as friends, moved into a turbulent relationship in which she systematically helped pull apart my...

I swear I’m going to say something serious and brilliant on here again someday. It’s just…writing thoughtful things is so much work. I had this great breakdown of Kant’s arguments, but then I saw a cat picture and I was pretty sure that was more relevant to my interests.
I’m not in freaking college anymore; I need motivation because I have no fear of flunking...

Dannielle Says:
DEFINE. GAY. YALL.
Because like, if 30 years from now, I meet the dreamiest of all dreams and it happens to be a boy, then so be it, and if that happens to make me not gay, whoops, and if yall happen to hate me for it…then you’re jerks.

Imagine Me & You
Ugh, it’s one of the cutest movies I’ve ever seen. It’s funny, it’s light, it’s silly, it’s got a happy ending, everyone is adorable - I just love that movie to death. I could watch it again and again.

Fingersmith. A close second would be Tipping the Velvet. My god, both are masterpieces. But Fingersmith is such a brilliant bit of work; I couldn’t put the thing down. I read it on my ebook at night before bed, and it was the worst thing having to set it aside when my eyelids were too heavy to keep open.

Day 10 - What does marriage mean to you?
Not to get all depressing, but marriage seems like an impossibility to me.
Sure, it’ll be legalized someday. I’m quite certain of this. It’s going to happen; it’s only a matter of when.
When I think of marriage, I think of that “forever love” that Hollywood tells us about. Honestly, I don’t know if “forever love” is real. And if it is, I...

I don’t always ramble on about nothing, but when I do, it’s 2:30 in the morning and I’m exhausted out of my mind.
So, like, listen. These are my important 2:30 am thoughts.
I went out tonight. With my friend. Nina. And it’s funny because with her everything is a little backwards. We go out with the intention of drinking. We wind up just going to dinner. Typically I go...

Day 9 - What do you think about LGBT Pride? Is it...
I feel like it can be a little of everything, depending on how you go about it.
Me, I’m not really much for the parades and silly (nearly naked) outfits. I don’t feel like people need to be having sex in the streets to show pride in their sexuality.
That said, it can be fun, and I wouldn’t discourage anyone from doing it if that’s their prerogative. I live in a place that...

Day 8 - What do you think the closet or being...
It means fear.
It’s fear of letting others know who you are because of the potential consequences. Alternatively, it’s fear of accepting yourself as you are. And in some ways, that ties to self-hatred.
It’s mighty dark in the closet. Any light provided is false, unnatural, and unreliable (just how long can you let that lightbulb burn; what do you do when it burns out?). No....
